Phil Ayoub I'm Phil Ayoub and my hometown is Seekonk, MA. My music is often considered Americana or Roots rock. Some of the people that have influenced me and my music are... Springsteen, U2, Oasis, Bob Dylan, David Gray, Neil Young, Coldplay, Ryan Adams, Pete Yorn, Radiohead, Stereophonics, Neil Diamond I create music that is... Years ago I tried to write songs where I would put myself in someone else's shoes. I quickly realized that I wasn't any good and started to write songs about my own experiences and things that were important to me. So that's what I do. Not because I think I'm any more interesting than anyone else (I'm definitely NOT), but I write songs about things that I think and feel and experience, and hope that others out there thing and feel and experience the same thing and hopefully connect with it. My thoughts on the power of music... At times music has been like a friend to me. And at some times even a best friend. I believe that is extremely powerful. My mission as a musician... If I can affect some people with my music 1/100th of the way that artists like Bruce Springsteen, Bob Dylan, and U2 have affected me, I will feel like I've done well.
