Biography
Andrew Solomon began writing songs on the piano at ten years old, and soon expanded his scope to synthesizers and studio recording. By the age of sixteen, Andrew had scored three student films for PBS television andin 1995, at the age of twenty-one, scored the Academy Award winning short animation film, Patronized, by Zackery Lehman. Apart from his singer/songwriter career, Andrew continues to score music for television and films with recent work appearing on the FOX NEWS channel.
After graduating from Dartmouth College, Andrew has focused his career on becoming a successful singer/songwriter. He has appeared on CNBC's America After Hours as the feature musical artist. Since his appearance, he has continued to craft his skills as a songwriter as well as collaboration efforts with other writers and producers including Mike Appel (Bruce Springsteen, Born to Run). In June, 1997, Andrew was announced a semifinalist for the Musician Magazine/Atlantic Records Best Unsigned Artist Contest. He cites Bruce Hornsby, Sting and Marc Cohn as a few of the great influences upon his music.
