David Coleman is a noted area musician in Boston, MA. He holds a Bachelor's of Music in piano performance and a B.M. and M.A. in composition. His musical experience ranges from improv comedy to directing several local gospel choirs, and being versed in the popular music forms of Pop, Rock, Funk, R&B, Jazz, and Hip Hop. He currently has three CD's with his gospel ensemble, "Confirmation." "Spirit of the Minstrel" is his first solo project, and it explores all of the popular music forms he has grown to love through the 70's, 80's, and 90's. This 32-year old musician is constantly moving from place to place, sharing the joy of music with many people, just as the medieval musicians did in 16th century Europe. They were called minstrels, and in that spirit, David Coleman offers to you "Spirit of the Minstrel."
