Do You See The Dark is a NYC-based rock trio that will kick you in the face with their heavy riffs and driving rhythms while giving you a cushion to fall on with their powerful melodies and luscious soundscapes of ambience. Dynamic and energetic, these rockers have been rocking NYC since they hit the scene in 2005. The band features the lovely frontlady Cakes (lead vocals and bass) who is backed by the extraordinary talents of Cro (guitar) and Bino (drums).
Do You See the Dark have spent 2006 working with acclaimed Producer Mark Zuppe of Soho Studios, and Chris Gehringer of Sterling Sound Mastering, creating a 6 song EP that is just a glimpse into the band's sonic landscapes. The band has developed their unique sound through blending the classics, rock ambience, and metal. Their live show is a captivating experience that has been luring in fans in NYC and beyond.
Locally, Do You See The Dark have played choice venues in Manhattan, including numerous shows at the legendary CBGB's, Mercury Lounge, and Crash Mansion. They have also headlined M.E.A.N.Y Fest an indie-rock festival in NYC held annually. In 2006, they were direct support for DMC (of Run DMC) for M.E.A.N.Y Fest 2006. When they are not rocking the local scene, Do You See the Dark have been touring the northeast and cultivating a rapidly growing fanbase.
