About This:
March 2007. Armed with a small digital recording rig and 26 shows lined up over the span of 29 nights, the band set out to "capture" the energy of this little French island paradise after the sun went down. This is an excerpt from my journal: "The people rest up before the night comes, so that they may dance all night long in the Caribbean heat, and make as many memories as possible, hoping that they can somehow bring the energy with them when they leave such a beautiful place; the band intuits this and plays with heart every night as though it's the last, because for a moment everyone's lives seem suspended and time is simply gone." We are forever in debt to the audiences (natives and frequent visitors alike) of the island for making us feel at home, and who helped inspire us to deliver our best night after night. This record is first and foremost for you.
