About This:
EGB Fans have been waiting for a live record for a long time. If you've seen us before, you know why. It's in front of a packed house that the EGB really "Comes Alive." But the night of October 11th, 2006 was something special, even for us. We were asked to be the opening act for Peter Frampton at the North Shore Music Theater (NSMT) in Beverly, MA.
Growing up where I did, the NSMT has always been a special place for me. The night we recorded this, my Mom reminded me that it was in this very same room that I saw my first live concert. Peter Frampton’s legendary live record "Frampton Comes Alive" was a huge influence on my growth as both a guitarist and live performer. And there we were playing live, opening for Frampton, at the NSMT...I mean, how's that for a homecoming?
I don't know if it was the nostalgia of playing my home town hall, inspiration of playing for one of my influences, or just the way Phil, Carl, Rick and I were locking in together, but something special happened that night. Man, I'm glad the tapes were rolling. When we listened back to the recordings, we just knew it was time.
I’m honored to have been given the opportunity to open for such an incredible guitarist, and I can't help but extend my gratitude to all the family, friends, and fans of the band, for their continued support of the music. For all of you who've been waiting for a live recording, the wait is over, here's the CD you've been asking for.
