Praised by Chicago Magazine for her raw beauty, Chicago singer/songwriter Gayle Ritt debuts her fourth release and second full length album, Becoming [vaut records 2002], and will tour extinsively throughout 2003 in support of the album. impressive instrument. Ritt also debuts her first music video, Every Day (Is the First Day of Your Life) which has been submitted to the LA film festival.
A native of Flagstaff, Arizona, Ritt has been singing and performing most of her life. From the days as a singing waitress at Black Barts Steakhouse to playing for sold out audiences at the House of Blues -- her considerable ability to create subtle, song specific arrangements, (Illinois Entertainer) and constant performing have made her a household name in Chicago. Ritts new release, Becoming is a live recording that captures passion, regret and anger so well... the wrestle with the past and lyrics that are filled with emotional vibes.
