Gayle Ritt's debut full-length release was produced by Fred Freeman and recorded at Magnolia House Studios in Miami. This was the album that put Gayle Ritt on the radar in Chicago when Chicago Sun-Times music critic Jim DeRogatis selected Ritt as an "Local Indie to Watch." The famous quote "Ritt's gutsy voice is an impressive instrument." was in that review. DeRogatis also praised Ritt for her, "Literate, lyrical eye." WXRT's Richard Milne said "It's Gayle Ritt's presence that set's the album apart," and Ritt was featured on WGN and FOX news in Chicago, in addition to CLTV and various college radio stations. Ritt began playing shows in Chicago, Los Angeles, Miami and Tempe. Favorites like "Sittin' on the Corner," "Somewhere to Turn," and "My Way" are on this album.
