Through movement and music children learn and experience the meaning of vocabulary such as over, under, big, little, high, low, wide, narrow, tall, short, far, near, apart and together. The vocabulary also includes naming parts of the body - head, shoulders, arms, legs, feet, hands - qualities of movement such as loose, floppy, tight, and tense - as well as ways the body can move - wiggle, bend, stretch, twist, walk, run, tip toe, stamp, jump and gallop.
