| Independent Philadelphia artist Jay D Clark has worked on many different multimedia productions in over 10 years of working in the entertainment industry both at home and abroad. He is a screenwriter, songwriter, creator, producer, musician, singer, director, actor, artist, and student of life, who honed his vast and varied production experience and knowledge while freelancing on crews for various music videos, television shows, movies, photo shoots, and commercials, between periods of intense screenwriting and songwriting. He joined the full-time staff of Media Bureau in 2004, after working with the multimedia production studio and gallery both as an intern in 1999 and on an independent short film, Societal Hill, which Clark wrote, produced, directed, acted in, and recorded the soundtrack for in 2003. A new project Order of the Quest, a heavy Historical Science-Fiction series was created with Benjamin Barnett of Media Bureau and a 45-minute premiere episode was produced, which sets up a series dealing with secret societies, bloodlines, and monarchies fighting for world control through history. Clark got to work with Philly musical icons Chuck Treece and Schoolly D, who produced the soundtrack for the Quest. Now Jay D Clark embarks on the next chapter of his life with Phillysmooth Productions LLC, the production company he founded in 2002 with his father, Lord Douglas. Jay D just finished the Fall of the City music album, co-produced with Chuck Treece (McRad, Bad Brains, Urge Overkill, Billy Joel, G Love, Pearl Jam, etc) over the winter of 2007-08. He is now putting a touring band together and beginning to set up tour dates around the globe, as well as working on future movie and television projects. |
