About This:
John D. Lewis's debut single - "The Christmas Wish" - made the top ten and stunned the world of Country music.
Now his album - "All I Can Do" - is set to
do the same. Though his voice has an unmistakably British "twang", his music is
unquestionably Country.
Moving easily from modern to traditional,
there's an acoustic edge to much of the music and the occasional trace of Country Folk too.
The album's lead off single was a charity fundraiser featuring The Children of Ingleton CE Primary School.
Many of Nashville's leading producers and promoters believe it is set to become a standard, reappearing at
Christmas year after year.
"All I Can Do" is filled with songs about life and living. As Lewis puts it: "It seems to me that unless
you've actually lived it, you can't sing Country songs the way they should be sung."
Lewis penned one of the songs himself and co-wrote ten with his wife and writing partner, Dawn Lewis.
The other song on the album was written by Homer Joy, the legend who gave Country music "Streets of Bakersfield".
Joy offered Lewis "An Old Outlaw Comes Home" to aid the charity effort, and part of the album sales will go
towards the charity the single supported - Ingleton CE Primary School.
