When Kathy Ready went looking for a Halloween costume for her eight year old daughter Nicole, she was blown away by the amount of Holiday trimmings that had already taken over the store. It wasn’t long before the poet and aspiring author had her feelings about the shopping excursion summed up in words. Turning it into a song was easy when her animated daughter Nikki joined in to do the parts fit for a child. Nikki’s enthusiasm and spirit captured everyone in Kathy’s family who sang their praises for the song, but it wasn’t until the duo was asked to share at a holiday party in a room full of musicians that she knew it had wings. Keith Munslow, musician and producer jumped to the keyboard and quickly joined in the fun. When Chris Fitzpatrick, “the most amazing guitarist I have ever heard,” says Kathy, offered to help out, she knew she shouldn’t let the opportunity slip away. Even her cousin Chucky began to sing along ~ this song had to be shared.
“The Ho-Ho Holiday song is my way of turning negative thoughts of the holidays into positive ones. It is my hope that it helps you do the same.” ~ Kathy
