About This:

This is KDZ’s second CD release, a work of passion and love five years in the making. After our first album, KDZ Live, which was filled with high-energy traditional rhythms, we were inspired to develop our own sound and create our own rhythms—thus half the tracks on this album are original works.

As we experimented with our style, we also built a fully equipped home studio as a crucible for our transformation, so this album comes directly from our living room to yours!

We’ve opted to stay with the distinctive organic sound our listeners love, while incorporating the talents of our musical friends Rich Goodhart, Lipbone Redding, Mark Kelso, Mohamed Camara, and Tim Brenner.

Come travel through the rich sonic landscape of in the Congo, dance to the vocal trumpet beats of Firetruck, and relax in Savasana to the sounds of Afro Groove. We hope you enjoy the journey of this album as much as we have.
