About This:
Dobro, mandolin, stand-up bass, accordion, congas, harmony vocals ... These are just some of the groovin' sounds that help make Lisa's soulful songs come alive on her latest CD "Harvest of Life."
"I guess you could say it's folk music with grit," Lisa says. "There's a lot of attitude and emotion in the songs."
A Michigan native, Lisa Pappas is a regular at music festivals nationwide. She wrote her first song when she was 12 (the same year she got her first guitar), and she cut her first CD "Stranger in Town" in 1997.
When Lisa's not writing and performing her original music, she is working as a free-lance copywriter and marketing consultant, planning and implementing promotional strategies for a wide range of clients.
Lisa is a member of the International Folk Alliance, Nashville Songwriter's Association, the Great Lakes Acoustic Music Association, and BMI. She often shares her music at Unity of Kalamazoo, adding a spiritual "new thought" dimension to her performing songwriter activities.
"People have told me that listening to Harvest of Life makes them feel good," Lisa says. "I consider that an honor."
