A select few of exceptional artists, a determination to create powerful and energetic music, and the internet’s broad chatting capabilities was all it took to craft together what we know today as offshoot.
Offshoot began their reign of New England in February of 2002. It hasn’t been easy for the guys though, 2002 was a rough year. On the vast journey to perfection they went through two guitar players and two bass players. In addition, it didn’t make it any easier for them when their manager and producer decided to leave them stranded as well.
In early September of 2003 offshoot released their first EP, titled: “Reversal of Fortune.” The album is backed by their record label, Roadside Attraction Records, Inc. The album is filled with mind blowing, emotional lyrics alongside eardrum shaking vocals, as well as unthinkable finger flying guitar riffs that will blow you away. When you listen to the EP, it’s apparent that bands like Deftones and Finch have influenced offshoot as they push themselves into the music scene.
It didn’t take long at all for offshoot to gain respect at local gigs as they have shared the stage with many great bands from across the country. Following offshoot’s return of their first east coast tour this past fall, fans from as far as 1500 miles away have been expressing sheer desire, for the band to make another return to the stage.
Fans of all ages have enjoyed seeing offshoot play night after night. Even though the band has been through several members, one thing remains the same; every show is filled with fans wanting more music.
