About This:
Philip Watson The folk strains of Philip Watson’s grass roots country flavor bring peace and nostalgia to the listener’s mind. Here is music that recalls the pure joys of life as well as the pure pains. It’s honest, human music for those who like songwriting genuine and direct. Watson is an accomplished artist whose music is unfailingly emotive and touches a place all of us have in common. Music and Passion Music and passion are very nearly synonymous. Both – intertwined with each other – represent the whole fabric of human emotion. No one sees this with any more insight than Watson, who says that music conjures feelings of happiness, sadness, loneliness, love, excitement, melancholy, inspired and fulfilled. It’s a trait of music that Watson employees to write songs that are relevant and engaging to heart and mind. Music reflects all of life and the greatest artists are those who explore every aspect of the human condition. Such is Watson. Need Watson recognizes that music is not something to be chosen or discarded. Every one of us is touched by music and not a single one of us could for very long live without it. It is a tie that binds us all together. Through music, Watson connects himself with his listeners and the audience experiences the commonality of universal human experience. “Music is a basic human need,” says Watson. “When I sing or write a song that touches another person – that makes them stop and reflect on their lives, their joys, their heartaches and their dreams – I imagine myself an artist painting a picture for those listening.” The Artist at Work Watson is a performer at the Texas Club in Fort Worth and has seen his name pop up on the same marquee as George Jones, Dave & Sugar, Tammy Wynette and the Charlie Daniels Band. He’s in the process of writing new music. Watson is currently working with A&R Select, the leading indie A&R firm in Hollywood, CA. “Watson is an artist whose real contact with the listener lies far deeper than mere melody or lyrics. There is a real exchange of the human spirit in Watson’s songs.” - A&R Select
