Primal Point's unique, world influenced sound consisting of intricate rhythmic variations, improvisation and "soul"fully inspired melodies with a strong, positive message began with the writing and arranging of singer/guitarist, Andy Sperandeo and has transformed into a very powerful trio exploring the boundaries of musical expression.
With the addition of such accomplished and well studied musicians as Daniel Kouba on drums/percussion and Peter Champagne on bass, the individual has given way to this truly collaborative experience. Each brings many years of experience and a mastery over a wide variety of musical genres. You can hear the influence in the haunting, altered tunings, the multi odd-time signatures and through the experimentation of tonality from time to time. Yet there is still this strong pull towards natural simplicity through hard hitting groove tunes and thoughtful melodies.
To play inspiring and powerful music is just at the forefront for this band. There is a positive stand for humanity as well in the lyrics of each song. You can get an idea of that message from song titles such as: “Patience”, Faith”, “Honesty”, “In the Moment of Now”, etc., and from their upcoming CD release entitled, “Inspire”. “There are choices to make every second of our lives. Choose the path of possibility.” For Andy, having this opportunity to express his musical vision is just the beginning.
Being of the Baha’i Faith, Andy is a strong advocate for creating and being a part of service projects around the world as well. He has performed for and been apart of many worth while causes such as the Dallas Life Foundation, Juvenile Diabetes, Food For Hunger Organizations and Medi Send. He has also volunteered feeding the homeless and performing at retirement facilities on a short tour through West Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and California promoting the oneness of humanity. In addition, Andy recently spent a week volunteering in the rebuilding process down in New Orleans.
With fellow Baha'is, he also co-creator of the 'Starlight Cafe'; a place where professional and non professional musicians/artists/dancers etc. can come together to enjoy and share their art.

The earth is but one country and mankind it's citizens" Baha'u'llah
There are choices to make every second of our lives. I choose the path of possibility.
Some brief history:
I started playing music when I was around 13 years of age in good old Freehold, New Jersey. I remember picking up a for the first time and just enjoying making stuff up. My earliest musical experiences were geared toward the hard rock "hair bands" of the 80's (I've got some funny pictures).
I moved to Miami, Florida shortly there after and started getting serious about music. I studied Classical Guitar up to graduating High School in 1991. In college, i was introduced to the amazing world of Jazz and I have not looked back since. I started teaching privately and "gigging" professionally at age 20.
I came to Texas in 1995 to continue my education in Jazz Studies at the University of North Texas, graduating in 2002.
