About This:
ROOSTER'S Debut Release: (TALES FROM THE HENHOUSE) - Great 1st release from a band south of Boston, it has all the ingredients of Classic Rock, which is why they had good reviews in The Performer Magazine & The Rock Magazine. Big sounding rock band, thumping drums with quick fills, solid up front bass mixing with the drum(perfect bottom end) both guitars trading melodies and sliding in and out of grooves and leads that remind you of how rock and roll was and should be, terrific harmonies, nice hooks and middle 8’s, nice changes & dynamics, 12 original songs, The drummer: Rick Jackson & guitarist: Tom Nava handle all vocals, (except noted *) Rick lead vocs on: "Empty Inside" "Broken Wings" "Many Reasons" "I’m Just a Rock and Roller" Tom lead vocs on:" Goodbye” “Chapter in Life (2nd verse by Rick) "I’m Still There" "Change" “The Blues" *John Lead Vocs on:* "Appetizer (backup vocs Rick)” Midnight Blew” “Second Gear Madness (Rick on harmony voc) Coming up with the album titled was as I remember something to be there about, A lot of xrated titles, thank god it didn’t come about (lol) But I do remember they wanted the cover to look like an old book from say the 1800’s, looking rather worn, that’s where the colors came in, ROOSTER was then put on the front in nice font style and rounded over the top, some say it looks almost southern rock, Inside goodies on hardcopy cd: pictures, all the lyrics,Thankyou's,Dedications Enjoy, and if you are going to purchase this debut, have to have the 2nd along with it, A true double treat with a band who gives you quite enough goodies, 13 tracks, most bands today, don’t give you that many, but again ROOSTER is about people getting more for their money. Personnel: Rick Jackson: Drums/Lead & Harmony Vocals/Lyricist for tracks - 1, 3,4,6,7,8,11 Tommy Nava: Rhythm & Lead Guitar/Lead & Harmony Vocals/Lyricist for tracks – 2,3,5,10,13 John Cesarini: Bass Guitar/Vocals/Lyricist for tracks – 9, 12 Bryan Birtwell: Lead & Rhythm Guitar CD Design: Rick Jackson/John Cesarini
