Cut It is a collection of country western songs that cowboys, cowgirls and anyone who loves horses, the western lifestyle and particularly, the sport of cutting will enjoy.  The song were all written by Gene and reflect his love for cutting, horses and the cowboy way of life.  The project was recorded in Nashville, TN at Studio 23 and features great musicians:  Bryan Cumming (acoustic guitar), Rick Gordan (electric guitar), Doug Jernigan (steel), Tim Lorsch (fiddle), Jeff Lisenby (piano), Mike Clarke (drums), Dave Frances, Huebert Knight, Scott Chambers, Stuart Ziff (bass), and Jason Howard (background vocals).  The music includes a mix of fast and slow western swing, a shuffle, country rock, blues, a waltz and a ballad.  If you like George Strait, Merle Haggard, Bob Wills, Hank Williams, Red Steagall etc., you will like these songs.  Take a listen!
