About This:
“Spirit, attitude, and charm. The most moving, pointed and memorable songs reflect Prasada-Rao's indebtedness to Bruce Cockburn, Bob Dylan, and Richard Thompson, and other singer songwriters who have something to say, and a distinctive way of saying it.” —Mike Joyce, The Washington Post
Released in 1992 and long out of print, Incoming – Toms’s first solo CD was originally released on the Crossroads label, and produced by the late and legendary Mark Heard (who produced Pierce Pettis’ Tinseltown and wrote the song “Second Hand”). This disc was originally marketed in CCM, but eventually found its’ rightful place in the singer-songwriter world, and was the sole reason Tom was booked at the Rocky Mountain Folks Fest in 1992 – the year before he won the Kerrville Folk Festivals’ New Folk Award.
Masterful production by Mark Heard, and amazing parts by stick player Fergus Jemison Marsh (of Bruce Cockburn’s band) and drummer David Raven combine to make disc into what The Performing Songwriter called: “An audio joyride, as joyful as a shout from the mountaintop, as intimate as a prayer whispered at midnight.”
