About This:
Burt spent most of his childhood outside of Buffalo, New York, in a home with a piano but no television. This gave him plenty of incentive to create -- he developed a songwriting habit at a young age and performed in a range of musical groups. After moving to Boston for school, he soon decided to concentrate on music full time. Singing in a pop-rock band and an acoustic duo, he played such well-known Boston clubs as the Middle East, Johnny D's, and Club Passim. In 2001 he began playing solo and venturing around the northeast. 2002 brought the release of his first independent EP, "Waking Up the Saints", along with an ever-expanding touring schedule.
