Frequently Asked QuestionsHow do I listen to the samples?
All CDFreedom samples are now in the MP3 format. The samples play on our CDFreedom Media
Player. You should have the latest Flash player installed in your browser software and
enabled. You can get a free Flash plug in here: (link to Flash)
What format are the songs I can purchase and download?
Downloadable songs are available for purchase on CDFreedom. All files are MP3 format.
When you purchase an entire album, you will get each song separately as an MP3.
How do I listen to the MP3s after I've downloaded them?
MP3 is the most compatible digital format in the industry. You can load it and play it
on just about any media player. Once you've downloaded the files, you can play them in
any MP3 compatible software or hardware. For instance, if you want to load a song onto
your I-pod, just drag the MP3 or open the MP3 in your I-tunes program and load it to
your player.
Are the downloadable songs copy protected?
The songs do not have digital rights management software built into them as we find most
formats are hacked as fast as they are created. This does not mean that you have any
permission to copy these songs for any use other than personal. Copying is illegal and
doesn't help support the artist.
What information do we collect?
The information we collect that falls into one of two categories - personally identifiable information and aggregated information. Personally identifiable information is information that can be used to identify you. Aggregated information is information that is not associated with a specific user, but instead anonymous information on many users, such as the number of visitors to the Site in a month's time. We collect personally identifiable information (such as name, email, residence address) whenever you voluntarily submit it to the Site. An examples of information that you voluntarily make would be a purchase. In addition, we collect and store statistics and other information about the online activities of our visitors on an aggregated (collective) basis. For example, we track the number of people who view each page, the order in which pages are viewed, and other information to learn which features are the most popular and to refine our design and marketing efforts.
Is the Site secure so that other people can not obtain your information from the site without your consent?
Personal information that we collect is stored in secure operating environments that are
not available to the public. Credit card information is encrypted and discarded once the
charge has been processed. All the information we collect and store is protected by our
firewall. Also, any information that we store at our business is kept secure, and only
designated employees may obtain access to it. Keep in mind that there is no completely
"safe" information on the net. This is why we will not store any credit card numbers or
keep a running customer account. We apologize for the inconvenience of having to enter
your credit card for every purchase but that information will stay safer if it just
stays with you!
Limits on our abilities
We'll do everything we can to protect you and your personal information, but we cannot
fully ensure that your private communications and other personally identifiable
information will not be disclosed to third parties. We may be forced to disclose
information to the government or third parties under certain circumstances, or third
parties may unlawfully intercept or access transmissions or private communications. If
we need to investigate or resolve possible problems or inquiries, we may use any
information about you to help private entities, law enforcement, or other government
officials as we believe necessary.
